Guests meet with tour guide upon arrival at Kuching Interna-tional Airport. On the way, stop at a local food court for breakfast (own cost). Afterwards, stroll along the Mural Street, taste the famous Fuzhou specialty “Guang Bing” (included), visit Malaysia’s second tallest flagpole at Dataran Ibu Pertiwi (Motherland Flagpole Square), take photos at the Cat Family Monument, and explore the Borneo Cultures Museum, the second largest museum in Southeast Asia, this modern five-storey museum showcases the rich cultural and natural heritage of Sarawak and the island of Borneo. Its architecture incorporates design elements inspired by tradi-tional Sarawak crafts, while the interior features interactive exhibitions, multimedia displays, and extensive collections of artifacts. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Depart to Batu Kawa Old Town to enjoy the famous Pork Meatball Noodles, a popular local dish that closes once sold out, after that visit to the Sky Bridge where you will enjoy a magnificent view of Batu Kawa and the Sarawak River. Then, visit to the adjoining 100 years old Guang Loong Temple. Lunch enjoy a 5-course Hakka Special-ty Meal at local restaurant. Afternoon, continue the tour to visit Wind Cave, believed to have got its name from the cool-ing breeze blowing continuously through the cave. Visit to Buddha, a shrine located inside a naturally formed cave at the base of Bao Ling Shan. Stop for photo taking at the Tasik Biru Suspension Bridge, a picturesque artificial lake that was formerly a gold mine where Hakka miners excavated gold with simple tools. Evening, visit to Siniawan old town which operates every Fri to Sun where the street is lined with old wooden townhouses. Dinner at local café in Siniawan Old Street. After tour, return to hotel and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. 0900hrs, depart for a short Kuching Heritage Trail Walk to discover Kuching’s old heritage & colo-nial buildings to learn more about the city. En route, enjoy a special tasting of the famous Sarawak Hakka Lui Cha, a tradi-tional Hakka herbal tea rice dish. Some of the iconic build-ings along the walk i.e., Chinese History Museum, Chinese Temples, India Street, Gambier Street, Carpenter Street and Kuching Waterfront. Visit local coffee shop to sample the Signature Opium Coffee and snacks. Cross the Darul Hana Bridge to visit outside State Legislative (DUN), Lunch at local food court to sample local delicacies from kueh chap, satay, kolo mee, laksa and many more (own expense) Afternoon, continue with city orientation tour to visit Kuching South City Council, Cat Monument, Chinatown, bypassing the General Post Office, Old State Mosque, Old Court House & Brooke Memorial. Along the way, make stop to hunt for more local snacks like Rojak, Ice Kacang and etc (own expense) 1700hrs, gather at the Waterfront jetty to board the Sarawak River Sunset Cruise. Dinner at local restaurant. Return to hotel and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel and early check out. 0800hrs depart for a 40-min ride to Semenggoh Nature Reserve, approximately 24km from Kuching to experience a rare opportunity to enjoy close encounters with semi-wild orang utans. These animals have been rescued from illegal captivity and rehabilitated to survive and live off surrounding forest reserve. (Remarks: Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed) Then, continue the tour to Cat Museum, housed on the ground floor of the Kuching City North City Hall. Devoted to all things feline, cat lovers will find a range of exhibits, photos, feline art and cat souvenirs over 4000 of them.
Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, check in to Damai Beach Resort and free at own leisure.
Dinner at local restaurant. Return to resort and overnight
Breakfast at the resort and check out. 0900hrs visit to Sarawak Cultural Village, a unique award-winning living museum offering informative introduction to local cultures and lifestyles. Highlight of the trip is the 45 minutes tradition-al dances of the various ethnic tribes of Sarawak at the Village theatre. Lunch at local restaurant in Buntal. After-noon, continue for local product shopping to shop for pepper products, local confectionaries, sea produces and many more. If time permit visit to Vivacity and free at own leisure. Enjoy Sarawak-style Bak Kut Teh for Dinner. Transfer to Kuch-ing International Airport for departure.
