Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, meet and greet by our friendly representative and transfer to hotel of your choice for check in and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Morning proceeds for 3 hours city orientation tour that takes you through the historical centre of old Kuching, past old shophouses and the old Malay settlement west of the city. You will see the indelible mark of the White Rajah with their forts and colonial buildings. Places of interest: Cat Monument, Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS), Old State Mosque, Indian Muslim Mosque OR Tua Pek Kong temple, Waterfront overlooking the Astana and Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak (DUN), Square Tower, Darul Hana Bridge, Brooke Memorial and Old Court House. Lunch at local coffee shop or food court (own expense) Afternoon, visit to Wind Cave which believed to have got its name from the cooling breeze blowing continuously through the cave. It a smooth, tubular limestone cave formed during the Jurrassic-Cretaceous period, roughly 60 million years ago. Then, drop off at Bao Ling Shan or Budda Cave and Tasik Biru – a picturesque artificial lake in Bau, about 300 ft deep. The lake was formerly a gold mine where Hakka miners excavated gold with simple tools but later laid to form a lake from the rainwater. Next, visit to Paku Rock Maze – an extremely precious geological heritage situated at Paku Town, is formed after a long geological evolution. Late evening, transfer to Siniawan old town which operates from Fri – Sun where the street is lined with old wooden townhouses. You can find a wide variety of local delicacies & snacks. Dinner at own expense. Return to hotel after tour and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel and free at own leisure. 1030hrs depart to Sarawak Cultural Village, a unique award-winning living museum offering informative introduction to local cultures and lifestyles. Highlight of the trip is the 45 minutes traditional dances of the various ethnic tribes of Sarawak at the Village theatre. Lunch at Budaya Restaurant. Afternoon, tour to the authentic replica buildings of major tribes in Sarawak. Return to city and 1700hrs gather at the Waterfront jetty to board the popular sunset river cruise. A cruise along the Sarawak River is a relaxing way to enjoy the various phases of the city and retrace the trip James Brooke made when he first arrived in Sarawak. After cruise, transfer back to hotel and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel and free at own leisure till check out. Transfer to Kuching International Airport for departure
